Ericas Favorites: Breathing Exercises

Do you ever give yourself credit for the amazing thing that you do, all day, every day, without fail? It is so much part of our subconscious that we forget to acknowledge its power, its lifeforce.  Breathing exercises force you to acknowledge this ordinary, yet extraordinary, activity. They help us do it better, they cleanse, and they calm.
My favorite exercises are Sama Vritti (equal breathing – calms to body, focuses the mind);  Nadi Shodana (alternate nostril breathing – balancing, relaxing, calming); and Kappalabhati (skull polishing (!) breath – energizing).
