Djuna has the patience of a saint. It was just nice to go at a pace that felt proportional to how a beginner’s brain works and at the same time, I found it challenging. I wanted to finally understand the poses I was attempting to execute in class, and this helped me get closer to that goal.

Back to Basics: Beginners Series 2021

4 Saturdays – 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, and 2/20 10-11:30am ET via Zoom

Join us this winter for 4 Saturdays as we get Back to the Basics, with a beginners series that will give you the introductory knowledge that you need to get your practice started, or deepen your existing practice.

This series is designed for new and existing students looking to build a strong foundation for their practice, deepen their knowledge about yoga, and a great launching point for students considering our 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training.

Asana and Alignment – Extensive study and breakdown of yoga postures

Yoga Philosophy and History – Yoga’s deeper meaning and how to apply it to your practice

Meditation and Pranayama – Understanding the deeper practices of meditation and breathwork

Upon completion, you will feel confident and comfortable joining our open level mang’Oh yoga classes, with a deeper understanding of the fundamentals behind the yoga practice.


The Program

Overview

The mang’Oh Back to School Beginners Series will give you a well-rounded understanding of your physical practice, as well as a deeper understanding of the philosophical and mental practice of yoga.

Over the course of 4 Saturdays, in addition to a steady weekly practice, your body will become stronger and your mind will become more calm and focused.

The Beginners Series program includes:

  • 4 Saturday live workshops with Djuna via Zoom
  • Access to online course platform with weekly reading materials, yoga videos and audio content
  • Unlimited livestream membership with mang’Oh during the duration of the program.

Lead Instructor: Djuna Passman

Djuna’s aversion to yoga quickly dissipated after she discovered the strong physical, emotional, and spiritual effects of a daily practice during atime of personal upheaval. A life long love of moving and firm belief inthe healing that comes from developing and deepening the mind-bodyconnection have led her to successful careers as a dancer, choreographer,and dance/movement therapist.

Feeling a strong desire to share the wonders of yoga with others she received her yoga certification through mang’Oh as part of their inaugural teacher training. Blending extensive knowledge of the body with choreographic skills and the ability to createand hold a safe space for self-exploration and play, Djuna aims to challenge and inspire her students. She loves sharing her passion for yoga with the mang’Oh community.

Premium Registration: (includes one 60-minute private session with Djuna) $325.
